The Challenge: This was a new business, enjoying a period of growth, based at several sites across Europe and North America and DFA were asked to come up with some ideas as to how to communicate growth plans with the staff.
The Solution: DFA advised that it would be appropriate to hold the event abroad, having people fly in from different European destinations. As a team we found several appropriate venues in Croatia and went to evaluate each one. We chose one outside Dubrovnik Old Town and flew 120 people in for the two day event. The day consisted of presentations from each of the business heads with a boat charter in the evening to go to the Old Town followed by a gala dinner by the sea in the famous 'Kings Landing' setting.
This proved to be a highly successful event, allowing for people from different locations to meet and share views and ideas with their colleagues - leading to an upturn in staff morale and improved communication across the group.
